Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce the students laboratory management systems and to gain the ability to serve as Laboratory Responsible.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to define the concept of laboratory management.
  • will be able to list technical and human resources (managerial) requirements of laboratory management.
  • will be able to describe the documentation requirements for the ISO 17025 standard for the laboratory.
  • will be able to describe the laboratory evaluation and accreditation process.
  • will be able to list the basic principles of the GLP and compare it to the ISO 17025 standard.
Course Description This course covers the basic concepts of laboratory management, documentation of laboratory management systems, human resources management, technical management, quality control, laboratory records and reports, GLP, ISO 17025 standard, system development, conformity assessment processes.
